What Kicks to Cop this Weekend (2/27)

I don't know about y'all, but week in and week out Friday is always that one day that I just can't wait for. Not only is it the beginning of the weekend, but it's also the first day of the weekly shoe rush. I have come to realize that I have a bad bad shoe problem, like I'm really at the point now where I'm actually addicted to getting new shoes. Nevertheless though, I find pleasure in sharing my shoe expertise by advising people on what's good out here and what is not. This week's edition of "What to Cop this Weekend" will be quite rare as I have a lot of 'should cop's' on the tab. Time to jump into these kicks though folks.
First as always, let's go through what 'NOT' to cop this weekend.

(2/27/16) $180
I don't have anything against runners, but these just aren't the best look if you ask me. I support adidas heavily and I respect the athletes on their roster, but Nike is honestly a better brand if we're talking running shoes. Pass on these ladies, you can definitely find a better look and feel for $180.

(2/27/16) $180
I know this is a collaboration and that it's just a running shoe, so only but so much can be expected. I'm gonna keep it a stack with y'all though, I've seen far too many shoes to accept this kind of mediocrity out of adidas. For $180 much more should be had in a shoe. Thumbs down on these, they simply aren't worth the price tag.
Now that that's over with, here's the best part of the segement. Here are the kicks that y'all 'SHOULD COP' this weekend.

(2/27/16) $200
For all the hoopers out there this is a nice sleek look for on court purposes. I know $200 is quite steep for a shoe just for basketball purposes, but if you take hoops serious this is a nice cop. The purple and black combo is hard to go wrong with, so well done to Nike for this design. Thumbs up for this kick and keep in mind this is Kobe Bryant's final season in the NBA.

(2/27/16) $105
I have to give a lot of props to adidas for making this shoe so affordable at just $105 of cost. Damian Lillard is definitely a star in the league and his signature shoe isn't a bad on court option. The black and white look is basic yes, but very respectable to get the job done on the hardwood. Thumbs up on these, me personally I wouldn't even mind balling in these.

(2/27/16) $150
I haven't been part of the Asic fan club for too long, but just know that since I have joined the club I have been a huge advocate of theirs. Their colorways are almost always genius and the design of their shoes can't be frowned upon. This is a nice look to rock with street clothes and will definitely catch plenty of people's eyes. Thumbs up for these fasho.

(2/27/16) $TBA
Many of you may not have heard the same Diadora before, do not be discouraged by this though. Diadora is a brand most popular for soccer based gear, but they also happen to make sneakers as well. These are a very underrated cop and to me they're lowkey fye. Go out and get these the feel will be great and the look will be even better. Three thumbs up from this camp on this shoe.

(2/27/16) $190
These are hands down the pickup of the weekend and it's really not even close. At $190 these are at a very reasonable price tag for a Jordan Brand Retro. I'm pretty sure these will not be sitting on the shelves in stores for very long, and actually retail stores may only get a limited number of these so make sure y'all don't mess around if you really want these. I will most definitely be going after a pair of these for myself this weekend, thanks to my TDT compadre Rez. Trust me these are a shoe you will not regret purchasing when you see them in person.
Alright shoeheads, that'll do it for this week's edition of WTCTW. Good luck to all of you in going after any of these shoes this weekend, and if anyone makes any nice pickups don't hesitate letting us know on Twitter @TheDemoTape_ and on Instagram at thedemotape. Also if there are any additional shoe questions or advice needed for any kicks out there feel free to ask me personally on Twitter @JTexKnows
